International beaches of India
India has a long coastal line and thus numerous beaches. The ones that are popular with the likes of the beaches of Goa, Mumbai, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and others are touristy beaches. However, these beaches are just 'touristy'. They fail on many standards of hygiene and water quality. Thankfully, India now has 8 beaches that have been awarded the coveted ' Blue Flag ' beach tag. This tag is given by the UN for Environment, FEE (Foundation of Environmental Education) and IUCN on the basis of water quality, safety and public environmental awareness. So make your next trip here and remember to not dirty the place!
